On the sets of Cube TV, the cameras are rolling, but with a twist! Here, the only goal is to have a fun and memorable time with friends and/or colleagues through a unique activity: game shows. For the past year, Jérémie Jarny has been managing the Cube TV company in the city center of Brest, where he hosts several iconic entertainment shows live. All done with spontaneity and in the conditions of a live broadcast!
Plato on a platter! Business leaders from Brest who are part of the Plato professional network, led by the CCI Finistère, gathered at the Cube TV Brest premises, a company opened a year ago by Jérémie Jarny, who is also a member of the Plato network. The idea behind this gathering was to showcase their universe and strengthen team bonds by sharing an entertainment activity inspired by a popular TV show.
That’s the concept of Cube TV, a company offering a unique leisure experience: an immersive gaming show to be enjoyed in teams, whether with family, friends, or co-workers. The franchise was established in 2022 in Nancy and has since opened eight replicas in France, including two in Brittany (Brest and Lanester).
Jérémie Jarny inaugurated Cube TV Brest in October 2024. A former radio journalist (known as one of Cherie FM’s voices in Quimper), the media man decided to venture into entrepreneurship while still keeping a foothold in the world that shaped him: television. “I started from scratch!” recalls the director. Planning, financing, investment, recruitment – everything had to be carefully thought out and built. “I underwent the ‘5 Days to Start a Business’ training at the CCI of Finistère in Quimper. This initial training helped me grasp the concepts of business management, formalities, accounting, etc. I needed that to gain confidence and reassure myself.” Regular support from an accountant helped him envision the future once the location was found.
Sharing a good time in a live setting
Jérémie Jarny set up shop on rue de Glasgow, in the heart of Brest: an unconventional space that needed a complete makeover. The entrepreneur invested €250,000 in these renovations: the 400m2 area was divided into six distinct rooms plus a cozy space with a bar and light dining. Each room leads to a unique area, represented by a game show-inspired set: the designs remind visitors of shows like Les 12 Coups de midi, Une famille en or, la Roue de la Fortune, or Vendredi tout est permis. “The goal is to immerse oneself in these worlds to share a good time, in a live setting,” Jérémie Jarny smiles, surrounded by a team of hosts who set the tone and rules of the games.
Team cohesion
This new space attracts all age groups. Customers range from avid game show fans to complete newcomers, drawn simply by the desire to play. “The formula appeals to families as well as groups of friends,” points out Jérémie Jarny, who also offers space privatization for special events like bachelorette/bachelor parties, as well as corporate seminars focused on team cohesion. He complements his offerings with catering, dining, and entertainment services. “We can accommodate up to 80 people at once.”
On Google and social media, Cube TV’s activity is praised with 5-star ratings and enthusiastic comments. “Our primary ambition is for people to have a good time and leave with a smile,” Jérémie Jarny says. He successfully partnered with local businesses to provide prizes for the game winners. Entrance fees are reasonable, ranging from €10 to €30 per person, depending on the game duration and number of participants required.
A unique activity
The first year of operation was challenging due to ongoing construction work on nearby bus lines, leading to road closures for several months. The new manager couldn’t achieve the expected revenue. “Since last September and the end of construction, things have improved, and the activity has picked up,” rejoices Jérémie Jarny, who ramped up his online presence to increase Cube TV’s visibility. “We are the only ones offering this!” The argument seems to resonate across Finistère, attracting teams from Carhaix, Morlaix, and Quimper to test their TV culture and have a fun, recreational experience.
