International stars in a small town in France. American singer Rihanna and her husband, rapper A$ap Rocky, were spotted a week ago at the train station in Épinal in the Vosges. The two celebrities could even be considering settling in the region.
Stronger than Los Angeles, the new global capital of international stars could be located in a corner of eastern France, specifically in the Vosges. The reason? The presence of American singer Rihanna and her husband, rapper Asap Rocky (A$ap Rocky), both seen at the Épinal train station on Saturday, March 21.
An employee of a local artistic production company, Omega Spectacles, posted a photo with the singer on the company’s social media. According to him, the interpreter of “Umbrella” and her husband were accompanied by numerous bodyguards.
According to Vosges Matin, the SNCF, informed about the presence of the two stars, had implemented a dedicated security device.
Rihanna and A$ap Rocky reportedly traveled to the Vosges to visit a house: “From what I’ve heard and read, she would be interested in a beautiful villa, an architect-designed house by a student of Jean Prouvé in the style of the 1950s, on the heights of Épinal,” said Épinal mayor Benoît Jourdain to Le Parisien, mentioning a construction worth more than one million euros.
It could be the “Maison Gauthier,” on the heights of Saint-Dié-les-Vosges, classified as a historical monument in 2005, sold for 1.7 million euros in 2020. On the real estate agency website “Place privée,” the announcement of the house, still online, even states that it has been sold. With its 6 rooms for 270m² and a pool, it might have caught the interest of the two American artists who could possibly be the buyers.
However, the visit of the two stars surprises the hosts of Estelle Midi: “It’s crazy, if I had seen the ad, I would have passed to something else when seeing the house because real estate photos don’t do it justice,” says Estelle Denis, who believes that the residents of Épinal might have been shocked. “I would have thought it was a look-alike contest,” she adds on RMC.
Rihanna and A$ap Rocky could, like George Clooney, decide to settle in France where they regularly visit. The two singers even have the favor of Brigitte Macron, who received them at the Élysée in 2024 as part of the “Pièces Jaunes” operation. And back in 2017, the performer of “Diamonds” had visited the presidential palace to convince Emmanuel Macron to finance her humanitarian fund for education.
