Over the course of four sessions held in the territory of CCAPV, both in people’s homes and at the Aiguille cinema, Art and Culture-La Chouette participated in a portion of the Amnesty International Human Rights Cinema Festival.

The screening of short films and a feature-length film at the Allos cinema was an opportunity to appreciate how cinematographic art and the emotions it carries can be used in defense of fundamental rights.

The selection was made beforehand by members of La Chouette and a local representative of Amnesty International. The violence against women, the painful destinies of migrants, the human ravages of fast fashion, social relegation, and homophobia were among the topics discussed.

The intimacy created by screenings in welcoming homes allowed for kind exchanges after the sometimes intense emotions stirred by the evocation of painful situations. Finally, a shared drink after each session also offered a friendly moment.

Over ninety people benefited from these screenings dedicated to Human Rights.
