The Actors and Actresses of Character festival, organized by Clap-Actions, ends this Sunday with 5 films on the program.
Dominique Reymond, Bernard Blancan, and Serge Riaboukine were featured in the films on Friday and Saturday and were present to interact with the audience. However, on Sunday, it will be Bruno Putzulu who will be in the spotlight and will present 3 films. Bruno Putzulu joined the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art in 1990 before joining the French National Theatre in 1994. He reunited with a former classmate from the University of Rouen, Philippe Torreton, who introduced him to Bertrand Tavernier, who made him one of the young criminals in “L’Appât”, the film that revealed the actor in 1995.
In 1996, he portrayed a very notable character of a lost provincial in “Les aveux de l’innocent” by Jean-Pierre Améris. In 1998, he received the César Award for Most Promising Actor for the film “Petits désordres amoureux”. In 2001, Jean-Luc Godard featured him in his film-poem “Eloge de l’amour”. In 2010, he released his first album titled “Drôle de monde”, followed by “C’était quand” in 2023, for which he wrote all the lyrics. He returned to the set for Jean-Pierre Mocky’s film “Les insomniaques”.
In 2003, Bruno Putzulu met Philippe Noiret on the set of “Father and Sons” by Michel Boujenah. The two actors became friends, and Bruno Putzulu suggested recording and publishing their reflections on the acting profession.
