On Friday, March 27, the stage of the Manare hall in Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts is set to vibrate to the rhythm of humor as free as it is cutting. The iconic La Bajon will present her new show “ZEN”, a funny, cheeky, and absolutely human interlude.

Just days before her arrival, La Bajon opens up with enthusiasm. The artist, discovering the town for the first time, is delighted with this new stage: “I am thrilled, I have never been here before, I am super happy to come discover the city and its residents.” A shared curiosity, as the provençal public is reputed for its conviviality and banter.

    “ZEN”, a more personal show

With this fourth show, La Bajon takes a new direction. Accustomed to characters, she returns here to a more direct, intimate form. “This is the first show where I really open up, I am in stand-up mode.” An artistic choice that allows her more improvisation and a more direct relationship with the audience. On stage, she also reveals a part of her personal history: “I talk about origins, family, blood ties.” A more sensitive register that enriches an always incisive humor.

    A free, uncompromising humor

In a time where joking about everything may seem delicate, La Bajon assumes a clear line: not imposing limits. “I don’t set myself any limits… It shakes up right from the start.” Her show spares no one but is guided by a common desire: to laugh together. “We make fun of extremes… but always for a good time.” A subtle balance between satire and kindness, which is her trademark.

    Laugh to let go

Behind the punchlines, “ZEN” also carries a simple, almost philosophical message: “In 100 years, we will all be dead, so we might as well have a good laugh.” A reminder of the essential, in a show that the artist describes herself as: “A little happiness pill… people leave with light hearts.” Between genuine laughter and more introspective moments, the evening promises to be a welcome break.

    An atmosphere right at home

And because we are in Provence, La Bajon doesn’t forget to set the tone: “A little pastis… but even stronger!” A promise of sharp humor, to be enjoyed without moderation. With “ZEN”, La Bajon offers more than just a simple show: a meeting. An evening where everything is laughed at, together, openly and warmly.
