    The 24th edition of the Book Stops opens this Friday, March 27. 70 independent publishing houses and 14 partner bookstores will hold a salon at various locations including Darwin, La Fabrique Pola, and other venues. Marie NDiaye will present her latest book, “Ma Chérie,” at Glob Théâtre from March 26 to 28 in a scenic version with pianist Christine Wodrascka and directed by Denis Cointe.

    From Saturday, March 28 to April 19 (from 2 pm to 6 pm), Eric Chevance’s photos will be exhibited at N’a qu’1 œil. “Dimanches” is a series compiling a year of images published every Sunday. The exhibition is part of the Bordeaux Photography Month (April 1st to 30th), a free event featuring over thirty exhibitions, as well as workshops and conferences.

    The citizen and artistic mobilization “Bienvenue” will take place in Bordeaux from March 28 to May 5. The initiative aims to support SOS Mediterranean’s actions while raising awareness about welcoming refugees. Through art and culture, it sheds light, sounds, and understanding on the paths of exile through various disciplines. Highlight events include three evenings blending shows and solidarity on April 9, 10, and 11 in Bègles, followed by an “Welcome!” evening on April 17 at Alriq, and a “Migrations en scène” event on April 25 at Garage Moderne.

    Until April 2, the Grand-Théâtre will show “La Flûte enchantée,” directed by Julien Duval. The Bordelais artist brings his poetic and humorous touch to Mozart’s opera to create a magical universe. His previous work “Il cappello di paglia di Firenze” showcased his ability to make the best of grand stages, from costumes to set design.

    From March 24 to September 20, Trevor Yeung’s exhibition “Jardin des neuf soleils” will be displayed at CAPC Museum of Contemporary Art in Bordeaux. This exhibition showcases his tribute to the nine rebellious celestial bodies in an installation designed for the museum’s nave. The exhibition offers a blend of myth and perception that immerses spectators in a cosmic landscape bathed in vibrant green light.

    From April 1, 2026, to January 4, 2027, the exhibition “Passions Collections – 10 Years of Acquisitions (2015-2025)” at the Fine Arts Museum of Bordeaux presents a unique collection representing a decade of enriching acquisitions. The display highlights how a public collection is built, incorporating heritage and contemporary choices.

    From April 1 to 8, 2026, Bordeaux hosts the 21st edition of the Cinémarges Festival, a significant event in LGBTQI+ cinema. The festival will feature a range of films, including contemporary works, experimental forms, and activist narratives, accompanied by meetings and discussions.

    From April 3 to 5, 2026, the Adrenaline Festival returns to Quinconces Square in Bordeaux for its third edition. Organized by L’Orangeade, the event will host more than 10,000 people over three days, featuring artists across various stages and performances.

    From April 14 to 19, the 4th edition of “L’Académie des Mutantes” at CAPC confronts Rammellzee’s work, a major figure in the New York art scene and 1980s hip-hop movement. The event coincides with the final days of the exhibition “Rammellzee Alphabeta Sigma (Face B)” and offers unique nocturnal visits and musical performances.

    From April 23 to September 20, Martin Parr’s exhibition “Art de vivre” at the City of Wine gardens presents a collection of images capturing daily rituals with a mix of irony and warmth. The exhibition, part of the Bordeaux Photography Month, invites visitors on a visual journey through contemporary society, infused with humor and a keen sense of the moment.
