Founded in 2016, this cultural festival takes us on a journey under the Italian sun without leaving Paris! From April 7 to 12, 2026, Italissimo, the festival of Italian literature and culture, returns to the capital for another exciting edition. This cultural event showcases Italian artists through various events held across Paris.
Italissimo serves as a true cultural bridge between France and Italy. While literature is at the heart of this festival, culture is also celebrated through various mediums. Each year, the festival offers literary discoveries, as well as film screenings, performances, concerts, musical gatherings, discussions, and even tastings. For nearly a week in spring, events in French and Italian enliven the capital.
This festival takes place in several locations: while the program changes every year, some participants are regulars. Italissimo typically sets up at BNF Richelieu, the Italian Cultural Institute, Maison de la Poésie, Maison de l’Italie, Sciences Po and Sorbonne University, Théâtre de l’Odéon, Cinéma du Panthéon… In total, around twenty locations welcome us to this festival in Paris.
