The United States conducted a new strike in the Caribbean on Wednesday, March 25 against a suspected drug traffickers’ boat, killing four men, the US army announced on Wednesday, March 25.
The US military command for Latin America and the Caribbean (Southcom) specified that this “ship was sailing on routes known for drug trafficking in the Caribbean and engaging in drug trafficking operations”, adding that “no member of the US armed forces was injured” in the operation.
163 people have been killed since September 2025 and the beginning of the US military campaign against suspected drug traffickers in the waters of the Pacific and the Caribbean.
The administration of Donald Trump has never provided solid evidence to confirm that the targeted ships were actually involved in drug trafficking, and the legality of this campaign has sparked a vigorous debate within the American political class.
Experts and UN officials have denounced extrajudicial executions.
