At 20:59 – Iran has “no intention of negotiating” but “to continue to resist”, according to the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi. This statement was made in response to the talks proposed by President Donald Trump but rejected by Tehran.

“Talking about negotiations now would mean admitting defeat,” added the Iranian Foreign Minister. Iran aims to “end the war according to its own conditions” to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

If the American ground invasion takes place, Iran threatens to open a “new front” in a strategic strait between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. This strait, the Bab el-Mandeb, is a crucial passage to the Suez Canal.

In another development, Iran’s influential parliamentary President warned of enemies plotting to occupy an island in the Gulf with the help of a regional state.
