Lexon and Jeff Koons unveil the Chromatic Collection, a new colorful series of their iconic Balloon Dog lamp and speaker.
After the international success of their first collaboration in 2025, the French design brand Lexon and contemporary artist Jeff Koons continue their dialogue by launching the “Chromatic Collection” on March 24, 2026. This bold new line reinterprets the famous Balloon Dog Lamp and Balloon Dog Speaker by injecting them with a palette of vibrant colors, while retaining the signature translucence that reveals the embedded technology. Pre-orders for this limited-time edition open exclusively on the brand’s website today.
A renewed dialogue between art and design
The Chromatic Collection consists of eight new models: four lamps (gold, blue, red, and platinum) and four speakers (gold, blue, red, and white). The aim is to attract a new audience and allow the thousands of collectors in over 90 countries to enhance their existing series. “With the Chromatic Collection, we wanted to further push the dialogue between art and design – color brings emotion and joy to these objects that accompany us daily,” explains Boris Brault, CEO of Lexon. “This collection invites everyone to interact with Balloon Dog in a more personal way.”
This vision is shared by the artist himself, who sees in these objects a new way to integrate his work into everyday life. “I am excited about this new collaboration with Lexon. The Balloon Dog Lamp comes in a wide range of vibrant colors, while the Balloon Dog Speaker envelops us in immersive sound. These two objects offer a new way to integrate Balloon Dog into our daily lives, where art, design, and technology meet,” adds Jeff Koons.
Luminous and sound sculptures
Beyond their aesthetics, these 28 cm high pieces are true technological wonders. The Chromatic Balloon Dog Lamp features nearly 400 LEDs, offering a brightness of up to 200 lumens. It offers a palette of 9 colors and 9 light effects, from warm white to rainbow animations, to adapt to all atmospheres. Thanks to the Easy Sync proprietary technology, it is possible to synchronize an infinite number of lamps. It has a battery life of up to 5 hours, with wireless charging or via USB-C.
On the other hand, the Balloon Dog Speaker was designed as an acoustic work of art. Equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 technology and 10 speakers (six active and four passive radiators), it delivers high-fidelity 360-degree sound. The True Wireless Stereo (TWS) technology allows pairing two speakers for expanded stereo sound. With two microphones, it supports hands-free calls and voice assistants. Its battery life can reach 10 hours. Notably, the 2026 models are fully compatible with those of the first 2025 edition.
Engineering in service of art
The transformation of the iconic sculpture into a functional object represented over 50,000 hours of development. The major challenge was to preserve the integrity of the form while integrating complex lighting and sound systems into a transparent structure. Each piece, weighing nearly a kilogram, is engraved with Jeff Koons’ signature and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with a hologram, guaranteeing its exclusivity.
This cultural partnership was originally created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Broad museum in Los Angeles in September 2025, illustrating the shared desire to democratize access to contemporary art.
