From March 18 to 25, 2026, Vice Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung made a working visit to the Italian Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. According to Politburo Resolutions 57 and 68, the CNI has not only expanded its network internationally but also established five specialized networks dedicated to strategic technological sectors. The goal is to implement the policy of talent valuation and integration of the best global technologies to solve major national challenges. During this event, Deputy Finance Minister Le Tan Can emphasized the significant contribution of the intellectual community: “In addition to their strategic advice, experts have collaborated with the government on concrete projects such as the International Financial Center, support for training in Europe, and connecting businesses. Many members have directly implemented investment and technology transfer projects in Vietnam, significantly contributing to the innovation ecosystem.” In recent times, the Network has provided intellectual expertise on national programs such as the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy, the Law on Digital Technology Industry, the AI Applications Training Center project, and startup incubation programs. At the meeting, Vietnamese intellectuals proposed numerous innovative solutions focused on a model of economic growth based on deep scientific and technological expertise, aiming for sustainable double-digit economic growth. The Vice Prime Minister highlighted the NIC’s essential role in connecting the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem with major partners like NVIDIA, Google, Meta, and Samsung. The National Innovation Center (NIC) and the Center for Entrepreneurship (CfE) at the Technical University of Berlin signed a memorandum of understanding. This cooperation focuses on training programs, incubation and acceleration of young businesses, student and researcher exchanges, and the implementation of strategic technological projects. This event marks an important milestone in bilateral relations and offers Vietnam the opportunity to access international standards in high-tech business incubation. By forming close partnerships with Vietnamese experts abroad and leading German research institutions, Vietnam is gradually asserting its willingness to utilize the world’s best talents for the country’s benefit.
