Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior presented and approved the project to develop high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of socio-economic development in the new context.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, the project to promote foreign relations activities in An Giang Province for the period 2026-2030, with a vision until 2035, marks an important and urgent step in the increasingly deep integration of the country within the international community.
The project aims to promote unified foreign policy work, ensure the legal and policy framework of foreign policy activities, enhance the leadership of the Party, strengthen the effectiveness, efficiency, synchronization, comprehensiveness, and scope of foreign policy activities and international integration, maximize international resources for socio-economic development, and improve the quality of human resources to serve foreign policy.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the project to develop high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of socio-economic development in the new context aims to comprehensively assess the current state and gaps in human resources in the public and private sectors, compare them with the demand for high-quality human resources in both sectors, and project human resource needs for the period 2026-2030. Based on this, it will propose training and development programs as well as human resources development policies to meet the socio-economic development requirements of the province during this new period.
As per the plan, the strategic objective is that by 2030, 100% of senior public officials have digital skills and master modern governance standards. The social sector aims for a training rate of 79% for its workforce.
Concluding the meeting, Nguyen Thanh Phong, member of the Permanent Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Giang Province, stressed the importance of the two projects for realizing the Action Program for implementing the resolutions of the provincial Party Congress and the provincial People’s Committee Congress. He requested the lead agencies developing the projects and the advisory service to integrate feedback and promptly finalize the projects for submission to the Permanent Party Committee for review and decision-making for implementation.
Furthermore, the requirements for development projects must be rigorously examined to ensure legal compliance and alignment with provincial planning and policies. In the development of the human resources development project, it is essential to consider the needs of key economic sectors closely linked to digital transformation and ecological transition, and implement policies to attract talent and train highly qualified human resources to meet the province’s development needs.
