Olivier Minne takes over as the new host of “Le Meilleur Pâtissier” on M6
There will be a lot of changes in the kitchen. In the upcoming season of Le Meilleur Pâtissier on M6, viewers will not find Mercotte or actress Laëtitia Milot. A “newcomer” to the channel will take over the hosting duties, but a familiar face to viewers: Olivier Minne.
After leaving France Télévisions after more than 35 years on the air, the star host of Fort Boyard joined the M6 group. His arrival was overshadowed by the resounding failure in early January of the new game show he was hosting, Pandore, and its quick cancellation. The 59-year-old presenter inherited a new task of no small importance. M6 has decided to entrust Olivier Minne with the hosting of Le Meilleur Pâtissier.
Who will replace Mercotte?
As reported by Paris Match, Mercotte stated that he is “very happy to join this great family of enthusiasts and gourmets where ganache, puff pastry, and whipped cream are discussed with as much seriousness as good humor.” He also said that he is “very proud to take on the challenge in my turn with great humility.” This is the first time since the beginning of the show that it will be hosted by a man.
Faustine Bollaert hosted the show for the first five seasons between 2012 and 2016. Julia Vignali took over for three years, before handing over to Marie Portolano for another three seasons. Laëtitia Milot took the reins of the program in 2024 for season 13 and announced her decision to step down at the end of season 14.
Therefore, the current host of Le Maillon Faible will accompany the contestants throughout the 14 weeks of competition. He will have the support of Cyril Lignac, the only pillar of the show who remains unchanged this year. Indeed, his longtime partner Mercotte has decided to close her book and hand over her judge’s chair at the end of season 14. It is still unknown who M6 has chosen to replace her.
