Magnus League: Rouen and Angers complete the final four

The Ligue Magnus playoffs’ final four is complete. Rouen and Angers sealed their quarterfinals on Monday night, joining Grenoble and Bordeaux who qualified the previous weekend. Both Dragons and Ducs experienced tense moments but narrowly made it through.

Angers found themselves down 2-0 against Nice within seven minutes, with goals from Jordan Mugnier and Nicolas Ruel. After a tough period, they turned the game around in the last 15 minutes, securing a 2-3 victory with Olivier Archambault being the standout player.

Rouen scored first against Amiens with Florian Chakiachvili, but the game was tied by William Lemay. After a penalty-heavy regulation time, Dragons clinched the win in overtime with a goal from Alexandre Lavoie.

In the next round, Rouen will face Bordeaux, while Angers will battle against Grenoble. As for Nice and Amiens, it’s time for vacations and roster planning for the 2026/2027 season. Amiens has already confirmed Kévin Bergin as the coach.

Demi-finals matchups: Rouen vs. Bordeaux, Grenoble vs. Angers. Matches are scheduled for March 27 (game 1), March 28 (game 2), March 31 (game 3), April 1 (game 4), April 4 (game 5 if needed), April 6 (game 6 if needed), and April 8 (game 7 if needed).
