Clémence Adam, author of two poetry collections, is a woman of many talents. She will be reading some of her poems out loud at the Culture & Vous festival.

Clémence Adam has authored two poetry collections, “Les âmes vaillantes” and “Du bout du cœur”, published independently by Editions du Lys Bleu. Originally from Gruissan, she returned to her hometown after her parents retired and settled in the family’s vacation home on the left bank of the port. Poetry has been an integral part of her life since the age of 14. Starting as a sensitive teenager who read a lot, she found solace in writing to express her emotions. In addition to poems, she also delved into fan fiction with a focus on the Harry Potter universe. According to Clémence, poetry is an easy way for her to express emotions, and her second collection is less dark and more positive, possibly influenced by the sunny environment she now resides in.

Today, with a background in archaeology and a Master’s degree in art restoration, Clémence is working on a historical novel set in the Cathar Occitania and the Albigensian Crusade. She is also part of the Chanter pour le plaisir section of the MJC, enjoys painting with Monique Agneray, and even created the artwork for the cover of her first book. A jack-of-all-trades, she plans to learn to play the piano, despite not knowing music theory yet.

Having been invited by the Narbonne association 1,000 poets in the Mediterranean and having led a café-philo discussion on philosophical thinking through poetry, Clémence will be on stage at the Palais des Congrès this Saturday at 5 p.m. for a poetry reading as part of the Culture & Vous festival, starting this Wednesday, March 25, at the contemporary art space and ending on Sunday.
