On Saturday, October 24th, the Hall de Paris in Moissac will undergo a transformation. For the very first time, the iconic concert venue in Tarn-et-Garonne will host “Electrik Dreams”, an evening dedicated to electronic music.
The Hall de Paris in Moissac will be turned into a real “club” this autumn. Indeed, for one evening, the Moissac concert hall will host the event “Electrik Dreams”, an evening dedicated to electronic music. “We’ve been imagining a project like this for about two to three years now,” says Axel Vollard, president of the AC Concept association organizing the event in collaboration with Osons Chanter. “It’s truly unprecedented in Moissac. It’s the first time an event of this kind is being offered,” he assures.
In concrete terms, “Electrik Dreams” will take place on Saturday, October 24th and will showcase various electronic music genres, as well as local talent. The opening at 9:30 pm will feature DJ Lian Culers, a young Moissac resident. “It will be a one-hour set to kick off the evening, with sounds close to Tech House and Afro-Latin influences.” Later in the evening, DJ Mas Greyn will offer a more energetic session. “It will be more lively, for sure,” comments Axel. Tarn-et-Garonnais DJ TIB is set to close the evening in a more Hardcore style. “We also have Lucas Duarte, a DJ who mixes in Toulouse clubs, coming. He’s kind of our headliner.”
An immersive experience will include laser scenography, LED screens, and dancers to enhance the festival-goers’ immersion. “We really aim to offer an evening with a sound and light show to accompany the artists,” he explains. Logistically, everything has been thought out for the comfort and safety of the public: a bar, a cloakroom, and a private security service will be operational until the doors close at 2 am.
To ensure a high-quality event, the association has partnered with Osons Chanter. “There are only three of us at AC Concept, so clearly not enough to manage all the logistics,” admits the association’s president. In return, AC Concept handles the sound and lighting for the Osons Chanter contest.
This evening will be a first for the Hall de Paris. “It’s truly a privilege to have access to one of the most beautiful concert halls in Tarn-et-Garonne,” acknowledges Axel Vollard. “At first, we received mixed feedback. Electro music at the Hall de Paris has never been seen before! It’s a venue that has hosted very large companies and renowned artists. And today we bring a slightly more modern touch,” he analyzes.
According to Axel Vollard, this first edition of “Electrik Dreams” had to happen in Moissac. “We are a Moissac association, so it had to be here. We target the young people in the area. For once, they won’t have to go to Montauban or even Toulouse,” he explains. Tickets are offered at a single rate of 10 euros. While physical tickets will be available on the evening, organizers recommend using the HelloAsso platform for presales.
