Iran fired a new round of missiles at Israel on Tuesday, causing damage and injuries in Tel Aviv, while uncertainty remains about possible negotiations between Iran and the United States to end the war in the Middle East.

It takes two to discuss, and no one knows who represents the Iranian side. Donald Trump claims his administration is talking with an unspecified “high leader” and has given himself five days to make progress before resuming bombings.

But Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian parliament, identified as a potential interlocutor, strongly denied any involvement as the conflict enters its fourth week, disrupting global hydrocarbon transport.

“No negotiations” have started, he said, accusing the US and Israel of spreading false information for financial manipulations.

Meanwhile, fighting continues, with AFP images showing streets strewn with debris in Tel Aviv and rescuers assisting at least four injured individuals.

A strike in a posh northern neighborhood of the Israeli economic capital destroyed the facade of a three-story old building, according to an AFP journalist on the scene.

According to Israeli media, the police mentioned a missile with submunitions, each loaded with hundreds of kilos of explosives, and the Israeli army deployed soldiers in the south after reports of impacts.

The night also saw Israeli raids in southern Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, and further south in Bshamoun, resulting in two deaths according to the Lebanese government.

Regarding the possibility of Pakistan’s involvement in the situation, unconfirmed reports continue to emerge, impacting European stock markets and oil prices.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested that Trump envisions a deal that preserves his country’s interests, while stating ongoing strikes in Iran and Lebanon.

Iran’s foreign ministry denied any negotiations but acknowledged receiving American negotiation requests through friendly countries. Speculation also rose about Pakistan’s role, with the White House spokesperson neither confirming nor denying.

The Pakistani Prime Minister promised to help bring peace to the region.

If confirmed, Islamabad’s involvement would make sense given its warm relations with both Tehran and Washington.

The article also discusses Trump’s conflicting statements and reports of Israeli-American attacks on energy infrastructure in Iran, as well as potential Iranian targets in neighboring countries.

In Lebanon, Israeli bombings resumed in the southern suburbs of Beirut, resulting in casualties.

These developments occur amidst a war that has claimed over a thousand lives and displaced millions in the region.
