After more than six years of development, the program continues to assert its role as a major cultural event, contributing to spreading the love of national culture among young people. “Blue Hair, Blue Shirt” is a special event organized as part of the Youth Festival, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, in collaboration with the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and with the support of Vietnamese traditional clothing brands and Vietnamese cultural organizations. The highlight of the event is a parade of traditional Vietnamese costumes that will take place on the afternoon of March 21, with the participation of about 1,000 young people.

Dressed in traditional costumes such as Giao Linh, Nhat Binh, and Ao Tac, the participants paraded from the Turtle Lake, through the streets of downtown, and ended at Phan Dinh Phung Stadium park. The flashmob performance on the song “My House Has a Flag Hanging” created a moving atmosphere, demonstrating a strong sense of national pride.

On the morning of March 22, a cultural festival was held at the Student Cultural Center (National University of Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City) with various activities such as exhibitions, exchanges, cultural experiences, and traditional art performances.

This open space brings together Vietnamese clothing brands, cultural research and practice groups, offering participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of clothing history and traditional values.

More than just a fashion show, “Green Hair, Blue Shirt” aims to build a community of young people passionate about Vietnamese culture. Through creative and inspiring activities, the program contributes to integrating traditional heritage into modern life, thus infusing a unique cultural richness into a dynamic city.
