Japan Display (JDI) has unveiled a complete range of display modules designed for defense and security applications. These solutions are built to operate in particularly demanding conditions, whether on land, sea, air, or space platforms. The screens stand out for their high brightness to ensure good readability in direct sunlight, as well as a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Their mechanical design allows them to withstand shocks, vibrations, and hostile environments, while their EMI/EMC shielding ensures stable operation in the presence of strong electromagnetic interference.

The range covers screen sizes from 5 to over 15 inches, offering resolutions from VGA to Full HD and WUXGA to meet a variety of applications such as avionics, drones, marine consoles, embedded systems, or rugged human-machine interfaces. The modules are also compatible with night vision systems according to the MIL-STD-3009 standard, thanks to precise control of luminance and light spectrum, ensuring safe operations in low-light conditions.

At the heart of this offer, the IPS “zero bright dot” technology of the Rugged Plus range guarantees “high image quality and lasting reliability.” Japan Display ensures that each product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure consistent performance over long periods, with component availability guaranteed for over five years. The screens also incorporate touch interfaces that can be used with gloves or in wet conditions, a crucial asset for tactical environments.
