A new municipal team installed under the leadership of the dean

The new municipal council had been convened on Saturday, March 21 at 9:30 am in the meeting room of Les Garrigues.

Jean-Jacques Granat, the outgoing mayor, did not show up to welcome and seat the new councilors. The session was opened under the chairmanship of Philippe Reig, the oldest member of the assembly, while the secretarial duties were entrusted to the youngest member, Charline Bouchard.

The 29 councilors: Philippe Reig announced the results of the municipal elections on March 15 and called each of the 29 councilors to take their seats at the council table. For the majority group “A New Breath for Manduel”: [Names listed]. For the group “Let’s Write Manduel Together”: [Names listed]. For the group “I Love Manduel”: [Names listed]. The council proceeded to the election of the mayor of the municipality. David-Alexandre Roux was elected (22 votes) and was handed the tricolor sash with gold fringes by Philippe Reig.

The first deliberation concerned the appointment of deputy mayors. They cannot represent more than 30% of the council size, so a maximum of 8 deputies can be appointed. The council unanimously adopted this number and proceeded to the election of these deputies. The list presented by David Guiot was elected by 22 votes. The deputies to the new mayor of Manduel are [Names listed]. David-Alexandre Roux handed them the tricolor sash. The mayor then read the charter of the elected official, which was approved before being signed by each council member.

After adopting the minutes of the February 26 meeting, the session was adjourned at 10:40 am. Before the reception, the traditional photo session – in which the members of the “Let’s Write Manduel Together” group did not participate – took place on the steps of the town hall.
