Despite the steps taken, Julien Doré’s tour teams for “Juju in America” did not obtain visas. As a result, the artist is forced to cancel the five planned dates in May in the United States.
It’s a blow for the singer and his fans across the Atlantic. Julien Doré is forced to cancel the five dates of his tour in the United States, scheduled for May, due to lack of work visas for his teams, as announced by Arachné Productions, the company organizing the artist’s concerts, on Saturday, March 21.
“The failure to obtain work visas for our tour teams on American soil unfortunately forces us to cancel the dates,” the company wrote in a story published on Instagram. “Despite the anticipation and efforts made by our teams, this decision is now independent of our will,” the company continued in its message.
Tickets “Automatically Refunded”
Announced in the fall, this tour, titled “Juju in America,” included five dates in the United States in the first half of May. After two concerts in Canada, planned in Montreal on April 29 and Quebec on April 30, Julien Doré was supposed to perform on May 2 in Washington DC, on May 7 in New York, on May 9 in Miami, on May 15 in Los Angeles, and finally on May 17 in Oakland, California.
A press release shared by Julien Doré himself on Instagram, along with the message “deg (for disgust),” on Saturday, March 21, reflecting his frustration. “We understand the disappointment of the many spectators who had already purchased their tickets,” added Arachné Productions, which stated in its press release that the tickets “will be automatically refunded.”
However, the artist will still perform in Montreal and Quebec as planned. “The Canadian dates are maintained and we look forward to seeing you there,” Arachné Productions stated in its story.
In France, Julien Doré is currently continuing his tour, one of the largest in recent years: over 120 dates and more than one million spectators. “For two hours, we go through many different, intense, funny, sweet, acoustic moments,” he told Le Parisien last November.
