No arrests at this stage
The investigation began on Friday morning following a report made by a family member of the mother. Three forensic technicians were dispatched to the scene, under the direction of a forensic coordinator, while the scientific laboratory of the Toulouse police was requested to perform urgent genetic analyses. No arrests have been made at this stage.
Significant human and material resources were mobilized: 30 judicial investigators from the Toulouse research section and the Aveyron research brigades, divers, K-9 teams, technical drones, and a helicopter were deployed to conduct the investigations under the direction of the Rodez prosecutor’s office.
A suspect already known to justice
The accused, identified as Cédric Prizzon, is the father of the teenager. A former police officer, the man in his forties had already been convicted of child non-representation and harassment of his ex-partner, stated Nicolas Rigot-Muller. His current partner, also missing, had facilitated the non-representation for which her partner was convicted in 2022.
