Oyonnax signs new recruit Koen Bloemen for the next two seasons. The club officially announced the news in a statement released on Saturday afternoon.

Oyonnax continues its recruitment for the 2026-2027 season. After signing fly-half Thomas Vincent and center Thomas Darmon from Montpellier Hérault Rugby, the black and red club welcomes a new addition.

As previously reported on our site a few weeks ago, the second-row player from Aurillac, Koen Bloemen (2.03 m, 108 kg), has committed to the club for the next two seasons. At 27 years old, the Dutchman has become an integral part of the Cantal pack, having already played 45 matches and scored 4 tries.

Aurillac’s Bloemen is also an international player with the Netherlands (19 caps), having competed in the Rugby Europe Championship. After starting at MHR and progressing through US Bressane, Vannes, and Aurillac, Bloemen will now join his fifth club at Oyonnax.

The future manager Fabien Cibray expressed his excitement about this signing. “We are delighted to welcome Koen among us for the upcoming season. He is a player who fits perfectly into what we were looking for in the second-row position, showing real quality in the lineout and having a strong presence in the game. We are confident that he will bring his energy and fully integrate into our dynamic.”

Currently ranked fourth in Pro D2, Oyonnax is fighting to qualify for the finals and will face Valence-Romans (5th) on Friday, March 27th (7:00 PM).
