It is a meeting not to be missed. This Thursday, May 21, Ousmane Dembele will be the special guest on the Rothen s’enflamme show on RMC (6pm-8pm). An opportunity to discuss several hot topics with the Parisian forward: the upcoming Champions League final against Arsenal, his future at PSG, his repositioning under Luis Enrique, the World Cup this summer with the French national team, and his ambition to win a second Ballon d’Or.
“I have no doubt”
Speaking to Jerome Rothen and Benoît Boutron, Dembele will also address his fitness, after being substituted in the first half last Sunday against Paris FC due to a minor calf issue. As explained by RMC Sport, the club expects no concern about his condition and reassures that his participation in the Champions League final against Arsenal on May 30 in Budapest is not in question.
In his interview with RMC, Dembele himself is very reassuring. “It’s going very well. I had a little alert against Paris FC but I’m fine and I’ll be ready for the final. Being 100% for the final? Yes, yes, I think so, yes, it will happen. I have no doubt about it, I hope to be on the field on May 30,” he says. Throughout his career, the former Rennes and Barcelona player has learned to understand his body and manage these episodes as best as possible: “I have had so many little alerts or big injuries in my career, whether here at PSG or even before, especially with big events coming up, especially this final, I preferred to stop and not take any risks.”
