Arsenal fans have been dreaming for over two decades, without success. For the first time since 2004, the London club was crowned English champions on Tuesday, May 19, thanks to their rival Manchester City’s draw at Bournemouth (1-1), surprising sixth in the Premier League.
With a four-point lead ahead of the final day, Mikel Arteta’s men cannot be caught on Sunday and succeed Liverpool. They thus claim their 14th English championship title. Over the past three seasons, they had finished second twice against Manchester City (2023 and 2024).
The Gunners finish the season in the best possible way, dominated thanks to their strong defense, facing rivals who were sometimes less successful. For Arsenal, the trophy cabinet could further fill up at the end of this season, as they will play in the Champions League final on May 30 against Paris Saint-Germain, defending their title.
