  • Bodø/Glimt became the first Norwegian club to win a UEFA Champions League direct elimination match by beating Inter in the playoffs. Qarabağ was the first team from Azerbaijan to win in the Champions League group stage when they defeated Benfica 3-2.
  • Paris became the first French club to reach three Europe Cup/Champions League finals and the first to play in two consecutive finals. Chelsea achieved a milestone by defeating Ajax 5-1 with three players under 20 scoring in one match.
  • Four teams made their debut in the Champions League group stage this season: Bodø/Glimt, Kairat, Union SG, and Pafos.
  • Kylian Mbappé scored the second fastest hat-trick in Champions League history in 6 minutes and 42 seconds. Harry Kane set a record by scoring in seven consecutive Champions League appearances.
  • The 4-4 draw between Juventus and Dortmund in Matchday 1 equaled the record for the highest number of goals in a match between Italian and German teams in UEFA competition.
  • Senny Mayulu’s goal in the 3-0 win against Chelsea marked ten goals by Paris substitutes in the competition, breaking the previous record. Arsenal continued their dominance over Portuguese opponents with a win against Sporting CP.
  • Kylian Mbappé finished as the top scorer of the 2025/26 group stage with 13 goals, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo’s record. Arsenal remained unbeaten in the first 14 matches of the competition.
  • Erling Haaland became the 10th player to reach 50 goals in the Champions League in just 49 matches, setting a new record. Mohamed Salah became the first African player to score 50 goals in the competition.
  • The FC Barcelona had the highest possession average of 60.6% throughout the campaign, the highest among all participating clubs. Bayern and Paris both scored over 40 goals in a single edition for the first time in the history of the competition.
