What to do in Dieppe this weekend

In Dieppe, a solidarity preview for brain research

The Rotary Clubs of Dieppe, Dieppe Côte d’Albâtre, and Têtes Maupassant, along with the Inner Wheel Club of Dieppe, are organizing a cinema preview as part of the “Hope in the Head” operation on Saturday, March 21, at 6:00 PM at DSN. The audience will get to see “Compostelle,” by Yann Samuell, starring Alexandra Lamy, ahead of its national release in April. Adapted from Bernard Ollivier’s book, the film follows a quest for meaning on the paths of Saint-Jacques. Tickets are available for €15, with €8.50 donated to the Brain Research Foundation. Tickets can be purchased online or on-site.

In Dieppe, a cinema-relax session and a conference for “Mars au féminin”

As part of “Mars au féminin,” on Saturday, March 21, a cinema-relax session is offered at 2:15 PM at DSN with “Le Théorème de Marguerite,” a film by Anna Novion. Following the screening, at 4:15 PM, a conference by Caroline Freissinet, an astrochemist at CNRS, will take place at the media library forum. She will share her journey and passion for planetary sciences and astrochemistry. In celebration of International Down Syndrome Day, spectators are encouraged to wear mismatched socks to promote tolerance and acceptance of differences. Admission is free.

Stunts and monster trucks in Dieppe

Stunt, motocross, and monster truck enthusiasts can enjoy the Motorshow World Tour at the Dieppe hippodrome. The show includes demonstrations of motocross, car acrobatics, and stunts, including ones with flaming cars. A fan zone, open two hours before each performance, allows the public to see these vehicles up close, participate in baptisms, enjoy karting, photo sessions, and autograph signings with the drivers.

Shows are scheduled for March 21 and 22 at 3:00 PM. Other dates are planned at the Dieppe hippodrome. Prices range from €18 to free admission.

In Saint-Nicolas-d’Aliermont, Jehan Ango company performs absurd plays

The Cepsna’s Rencontres section hosts the Dieppe-based company Jehan Ango on Saturday, March 21, at Espace des 4-Vents in Saint-Nicolas-d’Aliermont. They will present their new creation, “Qui c’est le chef?,” inspired by contemporary playwright Guy Foissy’s work.

Through four sketches and a play, the actors offer a series of offbeat and amusing situations, blending humor, absurdity, and fantasy.

Open house and activities to celebrate spring at Jardins d’Avremesnil

Jardins d’Avremesnil is hosting an open house on March 21 and 22, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, to celebrate the arrival of spring. Visitors can explore the greenhouses, nursery, and participate in several activities.

Activities include rose and fruit tree pruning demonstration on Saturday at 10:00 AM, indoor Japanese garden creation workshop at 3:00 PM (€8, reservation required at 02 35 04 05 50), Easter special children’s workshop on Sunday at 10:00 AM (free with reservation), and a conference on fruit trees at 3:00 PM.
