Recently in Marssac-sur-Tarn, Thomas Taillefer, who is an apprentice in professional youth, popular education, and sports for all at the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Cunac, organized an inclusive football tournament as part of his training.
In this initiative, Johan Dufieux, a sports educator at a specialized center for hearing-impaired people, brought together hearing-impaired and dysphasic young people for a moment of sharing around football.
For individuals with intellectual, psychological, or autism-related disabilities, participating in sports within the Adapted Sports promotes social inclusion, a necessary path to successful integration. On the field, licensed young people and children supported by the Bon Saveur Foundation in Albi shared an adapted sports moment together, despite hearing impairments or language difficulties.
Differences faded away to make room for the pleasure of the game, meeting, and cooperation. A moment marked by sharing, pleasure, and inclusion. This project fully illustrates the strength of the training network in Cunac with real-life situations, projects rooted in the needs of the community, and practices adapted to various audiences.
The apprentices do not just supervise. They design inclusive and civic actions. Alongside the Albi Marssac Tarn Football ASPTT club and the Tarn District, this initiative reflects the commitment of the Occitanie Chamber of Trades and Crafts to train professionals who use sports for inclusion and make training a lever for inclusion.
