The adaptive sports tournament caught the attention during the event organized by Asfac on Thursday, May 14.
As expected, a large number of participants gathered for the seventh edition of the Ligue des Petits Princes. Despite some disappointing weather, delegations from all over France enjoyed the reception and quickly immersed themselves in the competition.
The youngest participants set the tone starting from Wednesday until late in the evening. A crowd of a thousand people allowed the essential organization team to fine-tune their operations. The competitions began on Thursday for around ten categories on various lawns, including Frontignan, Mireval, Gigean, and Vic-la-Gardiole.
The standout addition to the program was the adaptive sports tournament. This event not only showcases the players’ progress on the field but also highlights the progress made in perception. Embracing differences, overcoming prejudices – these are the educational values that the muscatier club deeply supports. “Adapting sports promotes the creation of an inclusive environment where everyone can flourish regardless of their physical or mental abilities, whether in recreational or competitive physical activities,” is the message conveyed for the first time by representatives from Langogne, and according to their enthusiasm, it won’t be the last. The joy and passion of the participants show that this initiative deserves to be continued.
One of the initial matches pitted players from three establishments in Lozère and Ardèche against the Muscatiers. Boulogne-Billancourt (ACBB) and US Eguilles completed the roster.
