Renaud: What his ex

Renaud has been married three times in his life. His first marriage was with Dominique Quilichini, the mother of his daughter Lolita Sechan. After over twenty years of love, the couple eventually separated. The singer of “Mistral Gagnant” then rebuilt his life with Romane Serda, whom he married in August 2005 in Chateauneuf-de-Bordette, in the Drôme. Nearly a year after their union, the couple welcomed a son named Malone. Unfortunately, their romance did not last and they eventually divorced. Several years after his separation from the mother of his second child, the seventy-year-old singer crossed paths with Christine Marot, also known as “Cerise,” on the set of a television show. The singer noticed her thanks to her cherry earrings. And that’s how the young woman inherited the nickname “Cerise.”

After a first encounter on the set of “Merci Renaud,” the 74-year-old artist met the seamstress again the day after his 70th birthday. Cerise had asked for his contact information in order to give him a gift: a bandana shirt that she had made for him. Touched by this gesture, the singer then invited her to “have coffee at home, in Paris, then in Provence, then on vacation in Cap-Ferret.” Their beautiful romance was solidified by a discreet civil marriage in the 14th arrondissement of Paris in the presence of many guests including Laurent Baffie, Jean-Paul Rouve, Philippe Lellouche, and Dave.

Renaud: what does his ex-wife Dominique Quilichini really think of Cerise? Renaud seems to have finally found the right person in Cerise. At least that’s what the singer’s first wife, Dominique Quilichini, stated in the documentary “Renaud, a lost heart” aired on Tuesday, May 12 on France 2: “He is married to someone adorable, who loves him like crazy. He is happy, she takes care of him. Renaud has always needed to be in a little cocoon, always, always, always.” Lolita Sechan’s mother is not the only one to have praised Christine Marot. Guitarist Mourad Malki, who has been accompanying Renaud for several years, also had only positive things to say about the woman who shares the life of his friend and collaborator. “Cerise seems great. I wish him happiness and hope he finds happiness because he deserves it,” he said on camera.

Cerise supports her husband at each of his concerts. Renaud can always count on his wife, who is present at all of his performances. The seamstress will undoubtedly be at his upcoming concerts as well, as Renaud recently celebrated his 74th birthday. The singer of “Manhattan-Kaboul” will perform his greatest hits on Thursday, May 14, Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16 on the stage of the Zenith in Paris.
