The downtown of Lorient took on a military vibe this Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The Army set up a real immersive village there, with tanks, simulators, and information booths.
An military village in the heart of the city
Organized on the esplanade of the Town Hall, this operation attracted many curious people. Children and adults were able to discover military vehicles up close, test simulators, and interact directly with soldiers.
The goal is clear: to offer a concrete immersion in the military universe and show the reality of the field.
Attracting and informing young people
The event is being led by the Center for Information and Recruitment of the Armed Forces (CIRFA). It aims primarily to attract young people and to showcase the variety of professions offered by the army.
In addition to combat roles, the Army highlights a wide range of professions: logistics, communication, maintenance, health, and even information technology.
