    Theatre and Dance at the Paul Valery Museum

    The Paul Valery Museum on Rue Francois-Desnoyer, as part of the Spring of Poets, is offering on Thursday, March 19th at 6 p.m., “Cursed be the war”, a theater-dance performance. A show to talk about horror, barbarism, in a world that plays with monsters. With Antonio Rodriguez Yuste (text) and Carlos Carreras (sign language performer). Open to all, free entry subject to availability.

    Big Cinema Quiz at La Palanquée

    The La Palanquée venue at 3 bis Rue Gabriel-Peri is hosting on Thursday, March 19th at 7 p.m., a big cinema quiz to kick off the 1st edition of the Festival Notre Terre. The program includes a complimentary cocktail, film music, tielles blind test, prizes to win, unlimited popcorn, bar, and light fare. Pay what you want, 5 euros recommended, registration required.

    Conference with La Dante Alighieri

    The La Dante Alighieri association is hosting on Thursday, March 19th at 5 p.m. at the Mitterrand Media Library, a conference on “The birth of opera” presented by Marion Morellato. Officially born under the pen of Claudio Monteverdi, lyrical opera emerged in a very specific socio-political context. Free entry, limited to 80 people.

    16th Musicasète 2026

    For its 16th edition, the MusicaSète Festival invites the public to 3 evenings of classical music to celebrate spring!
    On Thursday, March 19th at 8 p.m. at the Manitas de Plata conservatory auditorium on Quais des Moulins, the Montpellier vocal ensemble directed by Franck Fontcouberte, and the Melopoésia Choir directed by Francine Guilhem, will perform pieces by Haydn, Mozart, Chilcott, Hagenberg, with Juliette Hammel soprano and Karine Leonelli on piano (free entry, reservation required).
    On Friday, March 20th at 8 p.m. at the Saint-Pierre Church on Rue du 14-Juillet, the “Sostenuto” duo with Marie-Laure Bouillon on flute and Benoît Roulland on guitar, present “An evening without worry” with works by Bach, Legrand, Quantz (free entry, reservation required).
    On Saturday, March 21st at 8 p.m. at the Manitas de Plata conservatory auditorium on Quais des Moulins, the Sète Choir and the Contrepoint Orchestra invite in a 1st part the “Hungarian Dances” by Bramhs, the “Slavic Dance” by Dvorak, the “Holberg Suite” by Grieg, and in a 2nd part the “Requiem for the living” by Dan Forrest with Nathalie Cases mezzo soprano, Franck Fontcouberte conducting, entry 18 euros, reservation required.
