As part of the British and Irish screens festival, the film “A Fish Called Wanda” will be screened on Tuesday, March 17th at the Carré d’Art. Directed by Charles Crichton in 1988, this crime comedy features four very different characters who team up to commit an armed robbery before betraying each other around the loot. Co-written by John Cleese and Charles Crichton, the film stars John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Kline, and Michael Palin. This cult comedy marks Charles Crichton’s return to the cinema at 77 and earns him two Oscar nominations, including one for best original screenplay.
