Constance, 20, lives in Le Havre and is a first-year law student. Back in 2020, at 15, she spent a lot of time on social media, against her parents’ wishes, saying, “I started to have a lot of followers, post photos, and do a lot of editing.”
One day, she received a private message from a rapper inviting her to meet him in Paris, believing she was of legal age and studying law, Constance meticulously prepared for her escape. She recounts her encounter with the rapper, “I thought he would know I was a minor, but it didn’t bother him because he contacted me later for us to meet after his showcase.”
She ends up spending the evening with him, saying, “We were in the room, he gave me a lot of compliments, we kissed, and then it led to intimacy. It was part of the day’s plan.”
Upon arrival in Paris, she meets the rapper as planned. Continuous run-ins with such situations lead her to believe she was being treated like a prostitute. She reflects on the aftermath of her actions, with her parents changing her school in response to her first runaway experience.
She finally took action herself, turning to an association for help. This marked a turning point, leading her to embark on a month-long walk along the Camino de Santiago to regain control of her life.
Upon her return to Le Havre, Constance, now living alone, found balance within herself. Despite past experiences, she maintained positive relationships with her family and embarked on a stable love affair for two years.
Throughout her journey, she has expressed gratitude to Constance and the Ribinad association.
