The new national theme for General Culture and Expression in the BTS for the 2027 session will be titled “The Truth about Lies”. This information has been shared by several platforms specializing in higher education, after it was published in official documents intended for students and teachers.
This topic will replace the 2026 theme entitled “Animals and Us: Imagining, Knowing, Understanding the Animal”. The new program will invite students to reflect on concepts such as truth, manipulation, misinformation, belief, and artificial intelligence, in a context marked by the proliferation of fake news and content generated by AI.
The written exams for the BTS 2026 will take place from May 18 to 21.
On Monday, May 18, the exam will start with the Economic, Legal and Managerial Culture test for tertiary sectors. The General Culture and Expression test, common to most tertiary and industrial BTS programs, will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm in metropolitan areas.
Industrial BTS students will take the Mathematics exam on Monday, May 18, from 4 pm to 6 pm, before the General Culture test the following day. The written professional exams will then take place on May 20 and 21 according to specialties and pilot academies. BTS results are usually published between late June and early July.
