Deputies searching for Perinton family abducted from their home

    Update: The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says that the mother and kids were found safe.

    Perinton, N.Y. — An Amber Alert has been issued for two Perinton kids who were allegedly kidnapped by their brother, as the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office searches for the kids and their mother.

    Deputies say that 54-year-old Mouna Omar Saleh Ali and her daughter, 7-year-old Julie Abdulla Qasim Saleh, and her 9-year-old son, Hafiz Mouna Ali Ali, were allegedly abducted on Saturday afternoon near Crossover Road in Perinton by Mouna’s son, 26-year-old Amar Abdullah Qasim Saleh.

    Hafiz Ali Ali is described as 4-foot-5, 75 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants with gray stripes. Julie Abdulla Saleh is described as 4 feet, 55 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes was last seen wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt and light yellow baggy pants, with a pink headband with pig ears.

    Deputies say the suspect, Amar Saleh, is described as 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and had his hair pulled into a bun.

    Police say that Amar was last seen driving a 2026 white or silver Toyota Camry or Honda Accord.

    There is no threat to the public, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

    Investigators believe the children are in imminent danger of serious harm or death.
