The focus is on the 11th Chinese Cinema Festival in France.

Starting on Sunday in Paris, it stands out because it travels throughout France until June 30th.

Featuring a mix of popular blockbusters and art-house films, the program showcases a variety of genres including animation, thriller, drama, historical films, and documentaries.

The 11th Chinese Cinema Festival in France is co-organized by the Chinese Cultural Center in Paris, the China Film Administration, and the Pathé Group, with support from the Chinese Film Archives, the National Museum of Chinese Cinema, and the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation.

This edition includes four main sections – New Releases, Classic Films, Documentaries, Virtual Cinema – and a thematic exhibition titled “A Century of Grand Screen Memory, Two Decades of New Cinematic Chapters” spanning 120 years of Chinese cinema.

The New Releases section offers a variety of films including “Scare out,” “The Lychee Road,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Shen Zhou 13,” “Curious Tales of a Temple,” and “Viva la vida.”

The Classic Films section pays tribute to major works in Chinese cinema history, such as “La Divine” and “Children of Trouble Times.” The Documentary section focuses on historical, artistic, and humanistic themes, revealing the depth and significance of images from China.

The Festival will take place in May and June 2026 in several cities, including Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Cannes, Brest, Montargis, as well as overseas in La Réunion and New Caledonia.

It will also visit Lyon at Pathé Bellecour starting from May 29th.

Among the presented films, the audience can discover the new film by Zhang Yimou titled “Scare out,” “Endless journey” by Dai Mo (a multi-award winner in China), “The Lychee Road” by Dong Chengpeng, and more.
