The Impro Culture and Diversity Trophy Occitanie showcased the creativity of middle school students at the Center for Innovation. The Rodez team emerged victorious over Tarbes and Toulouse, winning the regional title and the first star.
The Impro Culture and Diversity Trophy Occitanie took place at the Center for Innovation for the regional final.
For the occasion, the Toulouse team, coached by La Bulle Carrée company, the Rodez team by Bleu Théâtre, and the Tarbes team by Improsteurs, took the stage for the match.
Present in the audience were Saïd Soudjay, the national artistic director of the Trophy, and the regional director of the Trophy, Julie Boissier.
On stage, the students started off timidly but quickly regained their composure and showed increased creativity, reactivity, and listening skills to deliver successful and unprecedented improvisations.
The audience was fair and engaged during the regional final.
They voted for the best improvisations rather than favoring friends. They were also very responsive to the improvisations.
While all improvisation professionals agreed that all three teams performed well, a final requires a winner chosen by the audience and some stars designated by the national and Occitanie artistic directors.
Therefore, the 3rd star was awarded to Amaya from Tarbes, Adrien from Rodez, and Lucie from Lourdes, the 2nd star to Fantine from Tarbes and Ismaël from Toulouse, and the 1st star to Maël from Rodez.
As for the winner of the regional final, it was the Rodez team. The Tarbes team came in second. However, the Tarbes team will have another chance to redeem themselves at the national final in June.
