The Russian army has been active on all fronts and is regrouping, according to the Chief of the Armed Forces

The enemy has been active along almost the entire front and is regrouping its forces, particularly in the direction of Pokrovsk, where Russia has concentrated around 106,000 men.

Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky wrote about this on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.

“The situation on the front line remains complicated. The enemy has intensified its offensive operations along almost the entire front and is regrouping its troops. The most tense situation is currently in the direction of Pokrovsk, where the Russian aggressor has concentrated around 106,000 men. The enemy’s activity remains high in the directions of Otcheretyne, Oleksandrivka, Koupiansk, and Kostiantynivka, as well as along the border sectors with the Russian Federation,” Mr. Syrsky wrote.

He pointed out that the defense forces are conducting active operations when conditions are favorable and, despite constant enemy pressure, continue to carry out their missions, including on Russian territory.

“Our presence in the Kursk region remains. The key to success lies precisely in active defense and initiative on the battlefield. This allows us to exhaust the adversary, restore our positions, and inflict maximum losses on the enemy,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

He stated that the Russian army is losing at least a thousand soldiers every day, either killed or wounded.

During the month, the firing support forces have successfully carried out over 64,900 missions. In April, Ukrainian artillery hit 8,500 enemy targets, while missile units launched 74 strikes against the enemy. The main targets remain refining and fuel transportation facilities, special chemical production plants, cannon powder factories, and other military-industrial complex enterprises of the Russian Federation.

“Just in April, 84 targets were successfully hit deep within enemy territory using Deep Strike capabilities. This is the result of high-quality coordination and interaction among all components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” Mr. Syrsky emphasized.
