Upcoming Piano-Voice Recital by Winners of International Singing Competition

The two winners of the 28th International Singing Competition, Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin and Louis Dechambre, will be performing on stage at the Clermont Opera for a piano-voice recital.

Clermont Auvergne Opera invites the finalist duo of its last Singing Competition for a recital of melodies and lieder by Fauré, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Enesco. The program includes classical music from the Romantic era and the beginning of the modern period.

This duo, consisting of mezzo-soprano Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin and pianist Louis Dechambre, represents the new generation of lyrical artists. At just 26 years old, Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin already has a well-established career in the lyrical world. She has won several competitions, including the International Melody Competition in Gordes in 2022, the Georges Enesco Competition in Paris (2023), and the Young Hopes Opera Raymond Duffaut Competition. She was also nominated last March for the Victoires de la Musique classique in the category “Lyric Revelation.” Louis Dechambre, a highly accomplished musician, has also received awards, notably at the International French Melody Interpretation Competition in Toulouse and the Musical Competition of France. In addition to his piano activities, he participates in projects combining arts and contemporary music, such as the creation of the opera “Malbouffe” by Orlando Bass and a cine-concert for the festival Des Bobines et des Sons. They are also the first piano-voice duo to be recognized at the 2025 edition of the Clermont International Singing Competition.

Free Masterclass with the Duo and Antoine Palloc

A masterclass open to the public will take place one day before the duo’s performance. This will allow the audience to discover the behind-the-scenes of the recital, with Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin, Louis Dechambre, and pianist and vocal coach Antoine Palloc shedding light on various aspects, including technical details and musical work.
