The 4th edition of the Valras-Plage swimrun will take place on Saturday, June 6th. The event, which combines running and swimming in open water, also emphasizes teamwork.
If you are torn between the breathtaking and enduring beauty of trail running and the joy of open water swimming, then swimrun is the perfect fit for you. This discipline was invented in the early 2000s by Swedish adventure and nature sports enthusiasts, and it became part of the French Triathlon Federation when it spread to France.
The event on June 6th in Valras-Plage will feature different courses, including a 5km swimwalk and races of 5km, 10km, and 20km, either solo or in pairs. Last year, the event attracted 350 participants, setting a record to beat.
Organized by the Envol Swimrun association, led by Nicolas Remires, with the support of the city, the event promises a day filled with various activities, including races for children between 5 and 12 years old and a festive award ceremony by the end of the day.
