The Champagne Basket is pleased to announce that Djordje Milosevic, the Serbian winger who joined the team last September to fill in for the injured Samuta Avea, has extended his contract for the upcoming season. The news was shared in a video, showcasing the club’s evolving communication strategies.

Milosevic, who previously played for Châlons-Reims, had to cut short his 2022-23 season due to an injury. However, he made a strong comeback after Avea’s injury earlier this season, impressing both on and off the court. The 33-year-old player’s performance, averaging 10.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game with an overall rating of 12.2, has been consistent and valuable.

Recognizing Milosevic’s contribution both in games and as a leader in the locker room, Champagne Basket offered him a contract extension. The team’s future coach, Eric Bartéchécky, emphasized the importance of experienced players like Milosevic for the team’s success. The coach highlighted Milosevic’s game knowledge, division experience, and natural leadership qualities, which make him a vital asset for the team.

Milosevic’s notable performances, such as against Antibes in December, demonstrate his value to the team’s current lineup. As the team aims for the Elite 2 play-in, Milosevic will be instrumental in guiding his teammates and preparing for the upcoming season.
