Premier League. Maintenance, big challenge in the last matchday

Discover the program and stakes of the 22nd and final day of the Arkema Premiere Ligue whose matches will take place on Wednesday, April 6, 2026.

We already know the four teams qualified for the play-offs: OL Lyonnes (57 points), Paris FC (45 points), Paris Saint-Germain (44 points), and FC Nantes (40 points). The only stake at the top of the table remains the attribution of the second place between the two Parisian clubs at the end of the regular season. PSG will face RC Strasbourg (7th, 26 points) with the aim of surpassing Paris FC in the standings. Meanwhile, PFC will host RC Lens, a team still fighting to avoid relegation.

A three-way battle for survival!

Montpellier (10th, 15 points), currently the first non-relegable team, must achieve a feat by challenging the leaders Lyonnes on their home turf to ensure their survival. On the other hand, RC Lens (11th, 15 points) faces an equally tough challenge. The team will travel to Paris FC and not only secure a result but also hope for Montpellier’s misstep to move ahead due to an unfavorable goal difference (-26 against -15 for MHSC).

Lastly, AS Saint-Etienne (12th, 12 points) is not yet mathematically relegated, although its situation is very complicated. The team will face FC Fleury 91 (5th, 32 points) and must win by a large margin, while also hoping for heavy defeats for Lens and Montpellier. Their goal difference (-27), the worst in the league, is a major obstacle that almost seals their fate.
