On Wednesday, April 29, the final score of the Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers vs. Jacou match doesn’t tell the whole story, but the pride of the football club ASSMT is immense. While the senior team’s journey in the cup ended in the semi-finals, the players come out with their heads held high.
Facing a team playing four divisions above them, logic was respected both in the result and in the performance. Congratulations to JCFA Jacou for their qualification, sportsmanship, and mentality. Good luck in the final!
At the time of thanksgiving, ASSMT wanted to salute the numerous supporters for their incredible enthusiasm that carried the team throughout this adventure, especially during this semi-final, it was just amazing!
“Know that the players gave everything, with their guts and their hearts, to honor the club’s colors. Unfortunately, the celebration was marred by the serious injury of our player, Baptiste Reyre, victim of a double tibia and fibula fracture. The whole club is behind you. This ordeal is very tough, but we know your strength of character,” said Anthony Linke, the president.
There is still a little part of the season left to finish before heading off for a well-deserved vacation.
Until then, a home match of Team A on Wednesday, May 6 at 8 p.m. in the D4 championship against Jacou CFA (again). Go yellow and black!
