PSG Preparing for Challenges Ahead

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will have their eyes set on Germany and the Champions League semi-final return leg in Munich. But before that, Luis Enrique’s men must first take on FC Lorient this Saturday at 5 PM, for the 32nd matchday of Ligue 1. Leading with a six-point advantage over RC Lens, Paris has the opportunity to move closer to the title. This match is expected to give the coach a chance to make significant changes to the lineup.

With Matvey Safonov rested and Lucas Chevalier injured, Renato Marin is likely to start in goal for PSG. In defense, there are also expected changes. Due to Achraf Hakimi’s injury, Warren Zaïre-Emery may take up the right-back position alongside Willian Pacho, Lucas Hernandez, and Senny Mayulu. In midfield, Lucas Beraldo could partner with young Dro Fernandez and Fabian Ruiz.

Major Lineup Changes for PSG Before Munich

On the attacking front, Bradley Barcola may play on the right wing while Ibrahim Mbaye is set to start on the left side. Kang-In Lee is expected to play as a false number 9, allowing Ousmane Dembélé to rest before the challenging match against Bayern Munich. On the other side, Lorient, currently ninth in the standings, is expected to line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation. Mvogo will be in goal, supported by a back three of Silva, Talbi, and Faye.

In midfield, Lorient will rely on the double pivot of Abergel-Cadiou, with Kouassi and Katseris likely to serve as wingbacks. In the attack, Makengo and Pagis will support former Marseille player Bamba Dieng. Dieng, in excellent form since the beginning of 2026, will undoubtedly be eager to score against PSG.
