At the initiative of a group of musicians, the desire to create a community music school was born, which will soon arrive in La Cavalerie. Paul Lagadec, a professional musician, and Anne Desonai, an amateur, are leading this project, accompanied by other musicians often from the Conservatoire de l’Aveyron, with the aim of offering classes to children and adults starting in September.

This initiative aims to provide an alternative to the teaching offered in traditional music schools. “We want to make culture accessible to everyone, regardless of their income,” says Anne Desonai, a former business executive dedicated to the administrative organization of the structure. Flyers will be distributed from mid-April to inform about the structure, and registrations will open on May 1st.

The school will offer a variety of instruments, including strings, winds, and percussion. Sessions will focus on musical awakening, individual lessons, and computer-assisted music courses, aiming to bring all school stakeholders together quickly to work as a group and perform.

The establishment aims to collaborate with various local actors, such as schools, associations, and cultural venues, to develop this collective art. In order to achieve this, the association is seeking instrument donations and teachers who can bring to life the “sounds that weave connections,” the motto of the structure.
