Yolène Castes takes interim presidency of the Tarn-et-Garonne Committee
Without surprise, Yolène Castes is taking over interim from Michel Ruamps as the president of the Tarn-et-Garonne Committee until the next general assembly, designated unanimously on Wednesday evening.
Like clockwork, one might say. Last week, Michel Ruamps made the choice to step back from the departmental committee presidency after ten years in office. “I can no longer dedicate all my time as before to leading the Committee. It’s important to have someone who is much more involved,” he explained last week, while remaining on the board of directors. So, on Wednesday evening, in the departmental offices, a successor had to be chosen. It was ultimately Yolène Castes who was designated unanimously. She is certainly not a stranger in the small world of rugby in the department, a world she knows like the back of her hand, from Reyniès to Racing Montauban, and of course through her roles within the departmental organization as vice-president in charge of amateur rugby and competitions. She seemed to be the most legitimate to succeed Michel Ruamps. And the unanimous vote in her favor only confirms this legitimacy. Until the election of the new president in October-November (no list, no campaign), Yolène Castes should bring even more serenity to the functioning of the committee. “I thank everyone for this trust, it reassures me. We will work together, united, refocusing on the basics,” she expressed in response.
