On his Instagram account, Antonio Banderas posted a heartwarming family photo on April 27, 2026. He is seen laughing with his daughter Stella, his ex-wife Melanie Griffith, and her son Alexander Bauer, whom she had with her first ex-husband, actor Steven Bauer.
In the caption of the photo, Antonio Banderas wrote: “I had a lovely and very pleasant time yesterday in Los Angeles with my son-in-law Alex, my daughter Stella, as well as my ex-wife and lifelong friend, Melanie.”
A few hours later, the two exes were photographed leaving the sushi restaurant Matsushia in Beverly Hills. Another proof that the two actors have maintained a strong friendship after their separation. In October 2019, Antonio Banderas told People magazine: “Melanie is no longer my wife, but I think she is my best friend. I love her and will love her until my death. She is part of my family.”
When they met in 1995 on the set of the romantic comedy “Two Much,” Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith were both still married to their respective spouses, Ana Leza and Don Johnson. A year later, they divorced and then married in London.
