The Monts d’Olmes trail race is attracting more and more runners, much to the satisfaction of the organizers. The main event, the Cadéne, with its 30 km distance, is fully booked with 298 competitors registered and 34 on the waiting list. For the Galinat race of 15 km, 24 are waiting for any dropouts from the 297 expected participants. In the 10 km race, the Isard, 195 will be participating, including many young runners.
Participants for this edition are expected from Occitanie, Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Nord, Loire, Aquitaine, and many from Ariège. In the Galinat race, attention will be on Guillaume Lhérisson, the winner in previous years. In the 30 km Cadéne race, Julien Durand from Ferrières-sur-Ariège aims to challenge Mathieu Colzato for victory.
The 8 km race has now become a 10 km event open to young runners as well. The competition is expected to be tough with some participants having high ambitions. The gourmet walk is fully booked, with participants looking forward to tasting local products. Hopefully, the weather will be good on Saturday, May 23, during the Pentecost weekend.
