The Omnia Republic of Rouen was honored at the major global cinema industry event in Las Vegas. The Rouen cinema was recognized among more than 200 cinemas worldwide for its renovation project between 2020 and 2022.

The Omnia Republic is shining the spotlight on Rouen all the way to the United States! At CinemaCon, the biggest professional event dedicated to the cinema industry, held annually in Las Vegas, the Rouen cinema was rewarded.

The CinemaCon 2026 took place from April 13th to 16th. It brought together nearly 5,000 people including the major Hollywood studios (Warner Bros, Disney, Universal Pictures), cinema owners, and industry professionals.

The opportunity for the entire industry to reward existing cinematic operations and discover future trends in seating, projectors, etc. Richard Patry, CEO of the Noé Cinémas group, expressed his pride: “We hoped strongly, we worked hard, so we are really very happy.”

Among 200 cinemas from 45 countries, the Omnia de Rouen was recognized by Boxoffice Pro magazine for its renovation project between 2020 and 2022. The establishment received the “Blue Ribbon” award, distinguishing global excellence in cinema hall design, technology, and operation.

“We will soon receive a beautiful plaque. We will be able to display it in the lobby.” – Richard Patry, CEO of the Noé Cinemas group.

“We are very proud to have been recognized among 209 cinemas, including 19 in France. We were alongside incredible cinemas like the Grand Rex in Paris,” said Richard Patry.

The award was based on four criteria: audience reception, design, technology, and community engagement. A 100% American jury made the final decision.

Richard Patry, CEO of the Noé Cinémas group and president of the French Federation of Cinema, received the trophy on site in Las Vegas. The cinema renovation on Rue de la République began in 2020, costing 7.5 million euros, resulting in the complete modernization and compliance of the 8 halls.

“This will motivate us to continue in this direction, always striving for excellence, as Hervé (Aguillard) does. We will continue to mobilize, offer a variety of films, and maintain partnerships with local associations,” he added.

The facade was also renovated with the installation of a large glass roof, faithful to the original one from the cinema’s inauguration in 1952. Among the new features, a cinema café was also set up on the floor with separate access to the halls.

With this award, Omnia Republic enters the exclusive circle of establishments offering the best cinematic experience in the theater.
